2. If you don’t already have QuickTime v1.6.1, you will need to install it.
Open the folder named “Drag Contents to System Folder” and drag the QuickTime
extension to your System Folder. System 7 will ask if it can put QuickTime in the
Extensions folder. It may also ask if it can replace older versions of QuickTime. Say OK.
Restart your computer.
3. Double Click on a Connect For Success icon to launch the program.
NOTE: Two versions of Connect For Success ("standard" and "lite") are included.
"Connect For Success - STD" contains more attractive graphics but it requires more free RAM and may perform more slowly than does "Connect For Success - LTE." You should use "Connect For Success - LTE" if your Macintosh has less than 5MB installed RAM (or only 3MB free RAM) or if "Connect For Success - STD" performs slowly on your Macintosh.
NOTE: If your Macintosh is capable of displaying thousands of colors with adequate performance and you have sufficient RAM available, you may wish to set your Macintosh to display QuickTime movies in thousands of colors rather than 256 colors. See your Macintosh User's Guide for further information.
Troubleshooting
1. Movie Playback
Check your System Folder to be sure that QuickTime version 1.6.1 Extension is installed.
Make sure that your monitor is running in 256-color mode or greater.
Make sure that your single speed CD-ROM player has at least 64K of on-board buffer or try the program on a double speed CD-ROM player (recommended)
2. Bad Picture/Color
Make sure that your monitor is running in 256-color mode or greater.
3. Problems Running the Application
"Connect For Success - LTE" requires 3 Mb of free memory; "Connect For Success - STD" requires more. If you are having trouble running the "standard" program with your Macintosh, use the "lite" version instead. For example, if you receive a warning message that says there is not enough computer memory to display a graphic, you should exit and use the "lite" version. In addition, try removing system extensions and quitting concurrent applications to free up additional RAM, then restart your computer.
